Guildhall Building & Art Gallery, London, UK. >>>>
The City's seat of municipal government since 12C. Grade I listed; rare example of Medieval civic architecture with post-war extension and rebulding. John Croxton 1440/George Dance the Younger 1789. Beautiful glass windows inside the main halls of the building. The term Guildhall refers both to the whole building and to its main room, which is a medieval-style great hall similar to those at many Oxbridge colleges. The Guildhall complex houses the offices of the City of London Corporation and various public facilities. Greater London also has a City Hall. The nearest London Underground stations are Bank, St Paul's and Moorgate. Read more information about the Guildhall building. |
Medieval Glass Windows.
The Guildhall is a building in the City of London, off Gresham and Basinghall streets, in the wards of Bassishaw and Cheap. It has been used as a town hall for several hundred years, and is still the ceremonial and administrative centre of the City of London (which should not be confused with Greater London, of which it is only a very small part) and its Corporation. Wonderful medieval glass windows. |
Black & White.
Spectacular architecture inside a bullding near the Barbican Area that gives an overview of ancient vs. modern, that is a typical pattern of London's architecture and buildings. |
The famous Stonehenge. >>>>
The ancient stone circle of Stonehenge, an exceptional survival from a prehistoric culture now lost to us. The monument evolved between 3000 BC and 1000 BC. It is aligned with the midsummer sunrise and midwinter sunset, but its exact purpose remains a mystery. The massive rocks reminded about to the majesty of the Egyptian Pyramids, are these symbols connected somehow?? For further images from UK, take a look at my pictures from London. |
Westminster Abbey. >>>>
An exotic photo of the super photographed Westminster Abbey, i was trying to come up with someting more original then i found this spot in the park nearby and noticed that nobody was shooting there so i thought, let's try that angle and i really liked the framing and the composition that came out. |
Wildlife Animals At London Zoo. >>>>
I have to say that i had a good time, they have many different species of wild life animals, even if i am not a big fan of snakes i posted this picture since it was intense...tigers and gorillas were awesome too! |
I was lucky enough to get this closeup of the lions that were laying down and having a rest, unfortunately the lion king was not in mood for a photoshoot and i didn't capture a good angle of him....better luck next time! |
The facial expression of this gorilla was really incredible for the fact that it really resembled the same human feat! He was busy building a shelter for his companion, what a happy family! |
London Sea Life Aquarium, Various Species, London, UK. >>>>
Animals are good subjects because they don't complain, unline models sometimes....and at the same time they have incredible colours, like these fishes you can admire from the aquarium in London, yeah the one that is just nearby Westminster. Totally worth a visit.
|
Another fish from the aquarium, there were really many breeds and like i said before, the colors were amazing. |
Now it started to become interesting, with this massive manta was flying over the bones of a whale, the setting was really enormous! |
More fishes with cool shapes and colours. |
These sharks were incredible and what captured my attention were their angry eyes that gave me the feeling they were hungry..... |
Another closeup of the shark in case you are wondering if his teeth were not enough, there are 3 rows of teeth, pretty impressive. |
Closeup photo from the front of the shark here, with another angry look. |
After the scary images with the sharks, here's a sweet sea-horse with incredible blue and green colors. |
When i was standing in front of this creature, i was wondering if it was fake or not since it was immobile. It was real indeed. |
A massive exotic turtle, she was laying down this tree, relaxing...how can you blame her?? |
Reportage photos from beautiful locations in United Kingdom, Egypt, USA, Venice, Tokyo. >>>>
This is another of my favourite images, this is the double headed mosaic snake from the British Museum, and if i can give a suggestion since i have been many times at that museum, is to go to see this piece in person since it's awesome. It's located in the Mexican Art wing. |
Travel photography from Egypt. >>>>
Classic reportage photo shot in Egypt at a very famous site, the heat was out of control here! |
This was a very intense photo at this small market in Egypt because the kid was looking at me with very sad eyes, sometimes we don't realize how lucky we are in western countries until you see with your own eyes the conditions other populations are living in. |
One of my favourite photos from Egypt. This is the sacred sanctuary of Ramses II and you can see that the first god represented here was Ptah, god of darkness, firmly in the shadows, and in fact egyptian engineers managed to build the temple so that Ptah was never lit. This is pretty impressive considering that it was built over 4000 years ago! |
People walking in Venice. >>>>
This was the official billboard of my exhibition in Trieste, shot in Venice on a day which was really full of tourists, that's a classic in Venice! |
A wonderful night in Tokyo. >>>>
A breath taking view of Tokyo skyline shot straight from the Tokyo tower. The panoramic 360° view you have from that tower is really incredible and i strongly suggest it if you visit Tokyo. Check out more pictures from my article travelling in Tokyo. |
Yet another view of the Tokyo tower, this time from the basement, yeah you can tell that there is a similarity with the Eiffel tower that is in Paris of course, and like the European one, it's massive! |
Fashion frenzy in New York City. >>>>
Classic New York City style photo near the Metropolitan Museum with NYC cabs. Yellow taxis are an institution in NYC and you cannot call yourself a tourist if you don't ride one of these at least once! |
New York City subway. Subways can be scary sometimes, or very very long as you prefer. |
Niagara Falls, USA & Canada. >>>>
During the trip to New York City we visited also the Niagara Falls and the views you have from the top where the water jumps are really incredible! I strongly suggest to take the small ferry for the Niagara Falls tour but be prepared to get totally wet!! |
